C&C update

Character: Seras Victoria
Series: Hellsing
Type of adjustment: Canon Update and Power Update
Current canon point: End of episode 6.
Current powerset:
Strength: Seras is tremendously strong far in excess it seems of even other vampires. There is never a firm limit set on her strength, and only the actual physical size of an object seems to give her difficulty and not the actual weight. I would like to portray this as her being able to lift and move 1000 pounds. That would be the uppermost limit of her strength as in canon she can move, and fight while lugging around 345kg.
Third Eye: Seras has a third eye which allows her to see, and sense many things beyond human capability. She can sense the presence of any mind affecting illusions. She is also capable of breaking the influence of those illusions over herself though this is not a guarantee as she is still learning how. Her most common use of her third eye is to see, and accurately hit targets a kilometer or more distant from her.
Vampire: As one of the undead Seras has many of their classical strengths such as lack of aging, the ability survive normally fatal injuries, and no need for oxygen.
For all its benefits it also gives her certain vulnerabilities these do include sunlight, blessed or silver weapons, and staking combined with decapitation. She is also not able to cross running water unless driven or carried across it by some other means. This is actual bodies of running water such as a river or ocean, and not just running water of any kind. Crosses and other symbols of faith have no effect on her visually. If they are blessed being touched by them will cause her flesh to burn. She is also incapable of eating or drinking anything that is not blood. It causes her to experience extreme nausea, and vomiting.
Specifics:
Canon:
While the Wild Geese and their captain, Pip Bernadotte, holed up in the upper floors Seras stormed through the Hellsing mansion, exterminating any Nazi she found. Still even killing as many as she did she couldn't keep them from breaking through the Geese's lines and forcing them into a last stand. Forced back into the Round Table conference room the Geese were almost finished when Seras showed up at the last minute, blasting the attack Nazis into pieces before running out of ammo and leaving only the Nazis' lieutenant, Zorin, left.
Before she could attack the freak Zorin summoned up an illusion and dug through her memories taking her further and further back until finally forcing her to relive witnessing her parent's horrific murder and how she barely survived being shot by the same men herself. She then lopped Seras' left arm off with her scythe before plunging into her back. Stomping on the poor girl she then grabbed her head and sliced her weapon across Seras' eyes, blinding her. Gloating she prepared to finish her off when Pip dashed out from cover and slammed his rifle into her face. Firing several rounds into her guts he scooped up Seras and ran back toward the barricade.
Unfortunately one of the Nazis Seras had shot earlier wasn't quite dead and he raised his sub-machine gun and fired a burst into Pip's legs before the Geese took him down. Strugling to his feet he continued to the safety of the barricade, all while Seras told him to leave her behind. Zorin caught him up to though and swung her Scythe into his back bringing him to his knees and making him drop Seras.
Scrambling toward Seras called his name repeatedly while Zorin again gloated. Using the last of his strength Pip reached up to her and finally stole a kiss, telling Seras to take his blood and use it to destroy all those Nazi bastards. He then fell back dead. Crawling over to him Seras cradled him in her remaining arm and cried, howling. She finally snapped out of it when Zorin called Pip an insect of a man and attempted to draw the remaining Wild Geese into a illusion. Snarling back at her defiantly, Seras clamped down on Pip's neck and drank all his blood, in the process taking his soul into her own. Standing back up a shadow erupted from where her the stump at her left shoulder and her eyes regenerated.
Dashing into the middle of the Nazi reinforcements that had showed up she ripped them to pieces before slamming into Zorin, biting off the fingers on lieutenant's right hand when the after she punched her in the face. The Nazi then made one last attempt to dive into Seras' memories, but found herself confused and blocked by the memories of Pip who was shielding her. This allowed Seras to grab her by her head and with a cry of "Sod off bitch! Out of my sight! Out of my mind!" she ran down the hallway, dragging Zorin's face along the wall until there was only the very top of her skull left.
Throwing the bloody remains of the body away Seras turned and walked back to Pip's body, staring at it for a minute before turning to leave. She told the Geese she was off to go finish the fight like she had promised their captain. The few remaining Geese were confused at first, but then finally understood and saluted her.. Smiling she gave them a nod and then formed her arm into a wing before running to the window, leaping and taking off into the air toward London to find Sir Integra.
The changes to Seras will be an increase in her confidence and a full acceptance that she is a monster, but that she's a monster who protects people. This will especially show in her dealings with her superiors and she's going to be much more likely to argue with them over what she feels is the right thing to do and if they don't agree with her she might very well do it anyway. The only person she'll still act very submissive toward will be her Master.
She's also going to be much more aggressive toward villains and criminals. She won't be killing humans if she can help it, but she's much more likely to knock down a wall and haul someone off to prison rather than wait for all the paperwork and do it completely by the book.
Also one clarification to be clear, Pip's soul will not be coming with her to the City. This is going to have an effect on her and she's going to be very upset whenever reminded of him as even though it had only been a short time she was already quite used to his soul being right next to hers. This is also going to make forming any romantic relationships that much harder for her.
New Powers: Since her powers change sort of radically I wanted to redo them from scratch, especially that I now realize I probably should have only put them under two powers instead of three.
Vampire: As a vampire Seras is far stronger and faster than any human could hope to be. Now after drinking blood and absorbing a soul these abilities have grown even more. She can move fast enough to become a blur of light and her strength has grown to the point she is capable of easily lifting and firing a 5 ton piece of artillery. She is also incapable of being killed by any means except being decapitated, staked through the heart with a blessed, or silver weapon. Silver bullets through either the head, or the heart will do as well. Any other wounds she can regenerate within moments, even severed limbs.
She also doesn't age and she doesn't require oxygen. However she while only silver, or blessed weapons can really hurt her now she is still subject to many classic vampiric restrictions. She cannot cross running water unless driven or carried across it by some other means. This is actual bodies of running water such as a river or ocean, and not just running water of any kind. She is also incapable of eating or drinking anything other than human blood. If she does it causes her to experience extreme nausea, and vomiting.
Because of her absorption of Pip Bernadotte's soul she is no longer burnt by sunlight, though it does cause her some minor discomfort and she prefers to avoid it if she can.
Shadows: Seras can extend from her body a kind of solid shadow, allowing her to rip apart her enemies, or form wings with it and fly. The substance making up these shadows is heavily implied to be her own soul now empowered by becoming a full vampire. The shadows can also be used to form clothing and allow her to change her outfit at will.
Third Eye: Seras has a mystical third eye allowing her to see through any mind effecting illusions and breaking their effect on her. It also allows her to see and accurately hit targets well over a kilometer away.

CHRONOLOGY:After the end of Episode 6
CLASS: Hero
SUPERHERO NAME:
ALTER EGO:
BACKGROUND:
In regard to technology, politics, and culture, the world of Hellsing is much like our world circa 1999. The first big difference is that monsters are real. These mainly take the form of vampires in the series, though there are also werewolves, zombies of a sort, and some things that aren't quite classifiable. The series takes place in England circa 1999 and follows the Royal Order of Protestant Knights (otherwise known as the Hellsing Organization) as they battle the things that go bump in the night. Seras is brought into this story as a young police officer sent to investigate a series of murders in a small village. When they confront the prime suspect, he reveals himself to be a vampire, and kills all of Seras' fellow officers. Attempting to escape, she is captured by the creature who is interrupted by Alucard Hellsing's tamed vampire. After watching his ghouls (the zombie like corpses of those who were not virgins before being fed on by a vampire, and under its control) be decimated by Alucard, the vampire attempted to shield himself with Seras. After asking Seras if she was a virgin, Alucard shoots through her into the vampire's heart, and kills him. Afterward, he gives Seras a choice to live as a vampire or die as a human. She chose to live.
Now a member of Hellsing, Seras begins to clean out vampires and ghouls, learning more about her own abilities in the process. During a mission in North Ireland, she has a very painful run in with Father Anderson of the Vatican's Section XIII Iscariot (a group of fanatics determined to kill anyone monster or human who stands in the way of the Church). Shortly after that mission, Hellsing HQ is attacked by a pair of vampires called the Valentine brothers. Using new weapons, she lays waste to the brothers' ghoul army, and with the help of the Hellsing butler, Walter, manages to corner the younger of the two brothers, Jan. It is from him that they first hear of Millennium. After the attacks, Hellsing hires the Wild Geese to provide the needed manpower they now lack. She immediately makes an impression on their commander, Pip Bernadotte, by knocking him across the room with a flick of her finger when he doubted she was a vampire. Acting on information provided by Section XIII, they are sent on a mission along with Alucard to South America to find out more about Millennium. There her master learned that Millennium was in fact their old enemy; a group of Nazis who had managed to create vampires artificially during WW2, and had been thought wiped out by Alucard and Walter. With Pip's help (and the surprise assistance of Father Anderson) they manage to escape Millennium's attack and make their way back to England. There, Sir Integra meets with the Queen and prepares for war with the Nazis once more.
Assigned to protect Hellsing HQ with the the Wild Geese, Seras continues to bond with Pip. When the Nazis do arrive in a zeppelin, Seras shoots it down inflicting large numbers of casualties on the vampires. After their crash, the Nazis assault the HQ and their leader Zorin uses the power of illusions to incapacitate the Geese which using her third eye Seras sees through and then breaks by wounding Zorin. Choosing to dig in, Pip has the Geese pull back and sends Seras out to kill any Nazis roaming about the HQ. Before she leaves he unsuccessfully attempts to steal a kiss and laments to his men that she really is a sweet girl worth dying for. This is the exact point in canon from which I will be pulling her from.
PERSONALITY:
Seras comes across as a bright but very excitable person. At her core she is a good person who because of the traumatic events of her childhood is far more ready to resort to violence than a normal person. It is something she has learned to moderate in normal society because of her desire to be a cop, and also the memory of her father. The events also left her with a severe fear of dying, and abandonment. Seras is above all else a survivor. When confronted with dire situations after any initial panic her response is almost always anger, and defiance against whatever is threatening her. It is this attitude that she has carried over into other aspects of her life. Because of this she lacks leadership skills often expecting others to be capable of the same things as herself ignoring the fact that they are only human. This can often lead to outbursts of shouting, and accusations against the other person. She is an excellent follower though. Seras will always carry out her orders to the best of her ability, and approval of authority figures is very important to her.
In normal social situations Seras can be a bit awkward. During her time in the orphanage she was often isolated from the other children as they were frightened by her. At the time she didn't care, but it has left her disadvantaged socially as a result. Especially in those situations involving romantic or sexual advances. Her short life being devoted to becoming a police officer she simply never had time or desire for anything else. Lacking that experience means that she often reacts poorly to such advances. Given time though she can leave her shell, and get along with others. This does usually take someone reaching out to her first though. She is rarely willing to take that first step. Growing up lonely she is used to being on her own to the point that it doesn't even occur to her that she might be happier with some friends.
POWER:

COMMUNITY POST (FIRST PERSON) SAMPLE:
To whomever keeps leaving the garlic,
Look for the last time would you please stop leaving garlic strung around my apartment door. It's really annoying, and besides it doesn't even work like it does in the stories. I don't know how many times I have to say this, I'm not going to go around the building at night eating people. I've never eaten anyone. I don't plan to ever eat anyone. Not to mention that I'm a police officer, and I have plenty of medical blood in my fridge. If you ever bothered to talk to me you'd realize that I'm not a scary person. That's fine though. If you just want to avoid me I won't mind. Just stop leaving this stuff around. It's all I can smell during the day anymore. How hard it is to just leave me alone? Thank you.
Seras Victoria
P.S. I know who you are so you had better knock it off.
LOGS POST (THIRD PERSON) SAMPLE:
Seras screamed when she started to wake, and spied the small glimmer of sunlight coming through the bottom of the curtains. After a moment she remembered where she was. Thumping from wall reminded her just how thin the walls were here. "Yes I hear you I'm shutting up now!" she shouted back at the wall. "Bloody 'ell." It wasn't her fault she'd spent the last several months sleeping in a basement, and never having to worry about stray sunlight. Her neighbor apparently didn't like her nightowl habits either. People really could be inconsiderate of those with special needs. Sure it would be nice to be active during the day, but she wasn't keen on being burned to death. To top it all off she still had to sleep in a coffin. The first night here it hadn't been delivered, and she was so drained the next day she vowed to never make that mistake again.
Sitting up she ran a hand through her hair, and looked over at her coffinside alarm clock. 6:00pm one hour till sundown. Which meant it was almost time for her shift. At least the police department was happy to have someone who enjoyed working nights. They were considerably less happy that someone was a vampire. It had taken forever it seemed to convince them that no she was not going to go on some blood crazed rampage. That yes she would be just fine on medical blood. Just securing a supply for that had been a giant pain in her arse. They'd finally relented. She supposed her previous experience as a copper had helped. Still, she knew they were watching her closely.
Standing up, and moving into her kitchen Seras opens the fridge to get some of said blood. "Ugghhhh I miss coffee." she complains sipping at the blood pack after sticking a straw in it. Wandering over lazily to her calender she noted the date, and a small note on it. It read Daylight Savings Time ends. Frowning she tried to remember what that was. As it dawned on her she raced to the closet to grab her uniform dropping her blood pack on the floor. "Bloody stupid Americans! Why can't they just have the same time all year round like normal people! Ah I can't believe I'm late."
Flailing she quickly cleaned herself up, and threw on her uniform. Passing by the spilled blood on the floor she groaned, and grabbed paper towels to clean it up. With that done she bounced to her feet grabbed her jacket, and spun out the door. Five minutes later there was a jangle of keys and a great deal of cursing outside it. "Open! Ah there." Sweeping in she made for her dinner table and scooped up the ID card she had forgotten. All this racket had caused her neighbor to hammer on the wall once again. "Yes, yes I'm leaving!" Sighing she double checked her pockets, and because he'd been annoying her so much she slammed the door on her way out. Stupid git.

This is actual bodies of running water such as a river or ocean, and not just running water of any kind. Crosses and other symbols of faith have no effect on her visually. If they are blessed being touched by them will cause her flesh to burn. She is also incapable of eating or drinking anything that is not blood. It causes her to experience extreme nausea, and vomiting. .

Stupid git.
